Schluchsee Werk JSC, Germany

STIEPF JSC installed an Access Control system with integrated video surveillance for 400 employees at six connected locations at the Schluchseewerk JSC, a subsidiary company of RWE, one big electric utility in Germany.

The controllers, directly connected to the network, save the data on two SQL Servers which are replicated online. Besides the Access Control System Schluchseewerk JSC uses a Visitor Management to control 24 hours a day, who and how many people are inside the plant.

 

High Security System for Smart Card Factory, Algier

Implementation

STIEPF JSC web based Access Control and Management System with net-technology with open interfaces and standard TCP/IP protocol is the basis for the high security solution requested by the customer. Siemens readers and controllers with LAN technology were installed for the application of RFID ID Cards with MIFARE chip technology, Secure Multi Application Card of Siemens and Phillips.

The Security System includes:

  • 40 doors with 80 MIFARE readers
  • 2 double turnstiles
  • 20 controllers with direct LAN access, encrypted protocol
  • 2 personal sluices with biometric verification, 1 material sluice
  • 11 Emergency Exits
  • 2 redundant servers, 2 work stations
  • Integrated Digital Intruder Detection System with 120 PIRs, 140 seismic detectors and other detectors
  • 4 dynamic outdoor cameras with IR
  • more then 100 static cameras for indoor and outdoor usage

 

Ministry for Energy and Water, Kuwait

STIEPF JSC equipped the National Control Center and two District Control Centers of the Ministry for Energy in Kuwait, which are situated in a military controlled area, with access control and a personal time registration system for 800 persons. Large demands were made on data security and availability. For increased safety admission access is granted only if a code, stored on the smartcard, corresponds with a PIN code keyed in by the cardholder.
